A FanCon, short for fandom convention, is an event that celebrates and focuses on various aspects of pop culture, including but not limited to, anime, comics, video games, movies, television shows, science fiction, fantasy, and other related interests.
A big part of what makes FanCons so unique is cosplay: Attendees dress up as their favourite characters. This is wonderful social activity, and also brings with it opportunities for photo ops, costume contests, and just general fun!
